Dear members and friends of St Mary's,

Happy May Day! The sun is shining again after that much-needed rain, and I hope you are all keeping in good spirits. I look forward to seeing many of you in the Zoom fellowship after church on Sunday.

A reminder of what is coming up:

Every Friday, food donations for vulnerable young people and their families may be left at the King Henry's Road doorway before 1 pm. The youth team is very grateful for the generous donations that have been made in recent weeks. Fresh food as well as non-perishable groceries welcome.

Sunday 10th May marks the beginning of Christian Aid Week. We would normally take a collection in church, but this year you are invited instead to visit the Christian Aid website https://www.christianaid.org.uk/news/coronavirus-guidance-christian-aid-week-events-and-activities. Please give generously at this crucial time.

We will have services at both 9.15 and 10.30 on 10th May, with Zoom fellowship following each one.

On Sunday 10th May, from 4 to 5 pm, Grave Talk Tea will meet again. We talk about anything related to dying, death, bereavement, ongoing grief, funerals - all very topical subjects in this time of pandemic, so do think about joining us for a discussion in a safe and welcoming environment.

On Sunday 17th May, from 6 to 7 pm, the Book Discussion Group will return with Alison Shell. We will be discussing Louisa May Alcott's classic novel Little Women. We will celebrate Ascension Day on Thursday 21st May with a joint service with St Mark's Regent's Park. More details later.
