Dear members and friends of St Mary's,
It has been a long week, and every day feels a bit different from the one before. It is hard to adjust to life changing so rapidly. I've been hugely encouraged by the way so many people from St Mary's have been exchanging messages and offers of help as we navigate this crisis together. It was lovely to join the wave of applause and cheering for NHS workers last night at 8 pm.
You know by now that all churches are locked, even to the clergy, so the Sunday eucharist will be celebrated in the vicarage study. Please go to this link to join in our virtual worship at 10.30.
On Sunday evening at 6 pm there will be a short service of Contemplative Prayer on Zoom. If you would like to join in, just use this link:

Evening Prayer is said in the vicarage study at 6 pm from Monday to Friday. To join in, use this link:

We will be preparing an online version of the parish magazine, with lots of ideas for families at home, over the next few days. In the meantime, enjoy Nick's collective worship video and the video in which Emily Kolltveit introduces herself and teaches us a song about washing our hands. You'll find them both on the parish website, which is being updated very frequently as we try to keep up with events.
Don't forget on Sunday, March 29 that British Summer Time begins this Sunday. Clocks go forward one hour.
We constantly pray for one another and we know that we are all in God's loving hands.
Blessings,
Marjorie, Mark and Nick
