Church Youth
Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’
Matthew 19.13-14
Sunday School
Children are always warmly welcome at St Mary's. Children over the age of 5 are encouraged to come to our Sunday School during the 10.30 Parish Eucharist, which takes place every Sunday.
Our Sunday School is brimming with fun! We play games, we read the Bible in child friendly language, and we have a wide range of creative activities. It is staffed by experienced adult volunteers, and children rejoin their parents and carers during the Offertory hymn at the 10.30 service. Perhaps you might like to help out at Sunday School? Full training is provided! Contact the Parish Admin assistant: admin_assistant@smvph.org.uk
Jubilate!
Our Jubilate! service takes place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. It is a short, relaxed service full of joy and noise.
Youth
We understand that the transition from childhood to teenage years can be a challenging and confusing time, with so much going on, both personally and socially. At St Mary’s we do our best to support our younger members of our congregation and provide a safe space for them to simply be. We hold Movie Nights at the Vicarage and give them responsibility and leadership roles in our weekly service and community.
